Goal: Create a sustainable community and space for rest.

Outcome: Reached 24,000 subscribers in 3 years ( monetizing the platform).

A personal brand focused on creating a safe place for people to explore themselves.

My Goal

I had many goals over the years.

1) When I first started it was to get monetized with 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours. Being a nobody, with no community, it took a lot of trial and error to see what content resonated with people, and allowed my channel to grow. It wasn't until 6 months later that I became monetized.

2) To reach 10,000 Subscribers. This took 1 year to complete, as I navigated turning my niche content into popular niche content for the masses. I honed in on analytics, and started exploring video options. Pushing boundaries and _____ I landed on personal question videos, which helped to leap my channel past 10,000

3) Create Sustainable income and community to help support future goals in film. In October of 2023, I began developing my 2nd YouTube Channel (YourFriendNickYT) where I would be documenting my process of being a filmmaker. My goal with NicksrambleASMR was to use it as a funnel to feed into people jumping over to my YourFriendNick channel. Helping to potentially fund future projects.

Results


    Reached 24,000 Subscribers in 3 years on Youtube with consistent uploading.


    Created an organic community that shows up for via other social media platforms including: Patreon, TikTok, Instagram.


    Increased engagement and viewership via content after analyzation.


    Created a platform that allowed


    Strengthened Nicks Ramble ASMR personal brand and online voice, focusing on what made our channel unique.


    Supported growth of my film channel by creating a funnel from the channel to other offshoot social media channels.

How I did it

I did the following to reach our goal:



    Creating a sustainable shooting, editing and publishing schedule for 3+ years.


    Growing audience engagement through New YouTube Rollouts including: Lives, and collaborations


    Identifying my natural strengths and shaping content around that sweet spot.


    Coordinating with an editor to help with output.


    Paying attention to analytics to understand what was resonating and what wasn’t.


    Prioritizing one primary platform and letting it drive the others.


    Allowing my channel's identity to evolve as the years progress.

The work was less about chasing trending videos and more about creating a sustainable community, that shows up even when things change.
